$10 helps sponsor a Sunshine Memory Kit. These kits are designed for individuals with memory issues. They're tactile and consist of coloring books, hand puzzles, and other activities suitable for those with Alzheimer's disease to keep them invested.
$25 helps sponsor a monthly educational talk. These talks--now virtual due to COVID-19--reach a wide range of individuals throughout Texas, and sometimes beyond! The Zoom-based educational talks offer a range of topics that are beneficial to the caregiver learning to support a loved one with Alzheimer's, or someone in the early stages needed more information.
$50 helps sponsor a Care Consultation. Care Consultations are private, one-on-one discussions with a trained Alzheimer's and Dementia expert. These consultations are free to the public, but the $50 donation helps ensure we can keep them complimentary to any individual that calls and requests one.
$75 helps sponsor educational materials we distribute to our caregiver and respite groups. It also helps support our toll-free line that provides much needed support to those in need 24/7.
$100 helps sponsor someone at one of our county-based walks, which helps raise awareness about Alzheimer's and caregivers. These walks are held throughout Central Texas.
$250 helps sponsor a companion interactive pet for an individual with Alzheimer's or other dementia-related diseases. These companion pets provide a robotic cat or dog that is touch and voice activated, easy to care for, and has shown to be beneficial in improving the moods of those with various dementia illnesses.
$1,000 helps sponsor a visitation booth. Wheel-chair friendly, these booths allow families to have close, yet safe, contact with a loved one during COVID-19. The loved one can sit safely and comfortably inside the booth with their family members outside interacting with them.
